Hello and thank you for choosing Bengaluru Walks by Malavika! But, before you choose any of these walking tours, please read the following terms and conditions carefully.  By purchasing tickets via this website you will be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions below.

DEFINITIONS

“We” and “us” means Bengaluru Walks by Malavika, or any appointed representative thereof.  “Our” and “ours” are implied by extension.
“You” means you or any other person for whom you are purchasing a ticket, or anyone acting on your behalf.  “Your” and “yours” are implied by extension.
“Tour” means the event or events for which you are purchasing a ticket, as described on this website, at the time or times and on the date or dates you select via this website.
“Ticket” means the rights of attendance and admission to the tour, in the form of an email delivered electronically via this website.
“Guide” means our appointed representative who is conducting and delivering the tour.

SALE OF TICKETS

You must be 18 years old or older to purchase tickets via this website.

Tickets are sold in the form of an email which contains the details of your purchase, and which is delivered electronically via this website. Please note we do not send out physical tickets.

A request by you to purchase tickets using this website is an offer made subject to these terms and conditions. The offer is made when you click the “Book Now” button on the “Booking” page of this website. 

It is your responsibility to ensure that you provide a valid email address for an email account you have access to, and to ensure that any spam or junk mail filters do not prevent delivery of emails from bengaluruwalks@gmail.com. If you have not received your ticket within a few minutes of purchasing, and have checked spam or junk mail folders, you should contact us; if payment has been received we will be able to resend your ticket.

All Tours must be paid in full in advance through the website payment gateway, any other online transfer modes, or cash/card payments before the walk. Payment after the walk is not encouraged. 

WALKING TOURS

The ticket is issued subject to these terms and conditions.

The tour will depart promptly at the scheduled departure time. You are advised to arrive at least ten minutes prior to this time, as the guide will not wait for you if you are late.  (If you arrive late and the tour has departed you will be considered a NO SHOW — see Refunds and Cancellations for more information.)

When you arrive, please present your ticket to the guide, and any other proof of age or documentation that may be requested. You may present your ticket in the form of a printed-out paper copy, or on the screen of an electronic device; if the latter, please ensure that your device is charged, and that the ticket has not been deleted from the device (please note that some email applications automatically delete older emails).

Guides will be wearing badges with the Bengaluru Walks by Malavika logo.

During the Tour

When the tour moves from one location to the next, you should ensure that you pay attention to the instructions of the guide. The guide will make reasonable efforts to ensure that you do not lose the tour, but this is ultimately your responsibility.

Disabled Access

Access to some parts of the tour may involve pavements that are in bad repair, or climbing stairs where there is no other means of access.  If you are unable to climb stairs unassisted, you may have to miss these parts of the tour.  Giving or receiving such assistance is at your own risk. The guide cannot provide such assistance.

The majority of the tour will be at ground level, but involves moving at a moderate walking pace over short distances. You must be sufficiently mobile to achieve this.

Before you pick any of our services, please read carefully the terms and conditions applicable. Your agreement to these Terms and Conditions is implied on signing up for one of our services.

Photography, Video and Audio Recording

Photographs, video and audio recordings you take during the tour may only be used for personal, private, non-commercial purposes. If you choose to make it publicly available (e.g. on social media), you are expected to have gained verbal consent of the guide, sellers or other members of the tour group, and are posting such images at your own liability.

Some places visited on the tour may have additional restrictions which you must observe.

Any photographs taken by us during the tour or photos shared with us by a visitor while on a tour may be used for marketing purposes on our website or social media. While we shall endeavour to avoid showing participant’s faces unless verbal consent is given, please explicitly mention to the guide if you do not wish photographed before the experience starts.

Please note that the content of the tour is subject to copyright.

We cannot be held accountable or liable for the use of any images taken of you by other participants in the tour or by other individuals who may photograph you while you participate in a tour with us.

FOOD TOURS

We try to keep these tours as safe as possible for everyone, but we can’t be held responsible if someone falls sick directly or indirectly due to any food or drink consumed during the tour.

Please let us know of any allergies and intolerances well in advance and we will try to do our best to make it work for you.

If allergies or intolerances are nor shared in advance, we cannot be held responsible for and adverse reactions to the food consumed during the tour. 

RATES AND PAYMENTS

All rates, unless otherwise specified, are per person in INR as per the quotation or as mentioned on this site. We do not accept responsibility for losses and additional expenses, due to natural or man-made calamities such as delays or changes in air, train, bus or other services, missed connections, sicknesses, weather, strike, quarantine or other causes howsoever caused and all such losses and expenses incurred must be borne by you.

Please note that after the finalization of the tour, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments, museums, taxes, fuel cost, or guide charges by the Govenment of India, the same would be charged as extra.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

As you are purchasing tickets for a tour, we are not obliged to provide a refund in the event of cancellation on your part.

However, we will refund any cancellation made at least 48 hours before the time of the tour.

There will be no refunds for Cancellations made 48 hours or more before your tour, Same-Day Cancellations, or No Shows. 

Any payment for transport done with a third-party transport provider cannot be refunded.

In case there are cancellations from our side due to unforeseen circumstances, we will refund the amount or extend the validity of the ticket for upto 3 months based on the option chosen by you.

RIGHT TO REFUSE ATTENDANCE

We reserve the right to refuse attendance and admission to the tour in reasonable circumstances or to request you to leave the tour, and to take appropriate action to enforce this right.

LOSS, DAMAGE, INJURY, DEATH

We shall not be responsible for any death or personal injury during the tour, or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of nature, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control, or for any other matter for which it would be illegal for us to limit, or attempt to limit, our liability. (For example, when the guide crosses a road it does not necessarily mean it is safe for you to do so and you should take all precautions that you would normally.)

We cannot be held responsible for the loss of or damage to your personal property during the tour.  Please keep your belongings with you at all times.

We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accidents, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements on their own. 

We shall not be responsible for any delays and alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.

In the event that a tour has to be cancelled or abandoned part way through, we will not be liable for any accommodation, travel or other costs you incur.

In any case, our liability to you is limited to the purchase price of the tickets you have purchased.

GENERAL

​​Once a booking has been confirmed, amendments will not be entertained. Transfers from one tour or walk to another will be treated as a cancellation of the previous booking, which will lead to relevant cancellation charges.

All itineraries shown on this website are sample itineraries, only intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Factors like weather, road conditions, and the physical ability of the participants etc may dictate itinerary changes either before the trip or while on the trip.

We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participant’s safety, comfort and general well-being.
